Within the scope of the REINOVA project, IDDNET and its partners and entrepreneurs were present, from 7 to 10 May, at the HOFEX 2019 International Fair, the leading trade fair in the food and hospitality sectors in Asia.
HOFEX is a biennial fair held in one of the major Asian decision centers – Hong Kong. The presence at the fair is an essential goal for any company that wishes to venture into diversification and to export to the international markets. There were about 2660 exhibitors from 74 nations who had the opportunity to publicize their products and services in over 66,000 m2 exhibition area.
The projection and knowledge that comes from this participation are important in order to measure the interest of these potential clients and to identify early on the cultural barriers that must be overcome.
During the 4 days, the REINOVA project had the opportunity to present the results of its process of innovation, improvement, training and market analysis, together with its microenterprises and entrepreneurs.
In total, 13 new products resulting from this joint effort were tested.
The interest was positive, taking into account the large number of brands that competed for the attention of the visitors, not only in tasting some of the products and willingness to known mnore about production aspects, but also with observations on the image and packaging of said products.
It was thus possible to draw a number of conclusions which will benefit the next stage of improvement of innovative products, so that they become more attractive to their target markets.
